Batting first, the Hyderabad batters were aggressive against the Delhi bowlers, hitting for more than 20 runs an over.

2. SRH's 107 vs LSG (IPL 2024)

The SRH team has the record for the second highest powerplay score in IPL. SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma showed batting masterclass at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Chasing 166 runs, the Hyderabad batters were aggressive against the Lucknow bowlers, scoring 107 runs in 6 overs and won the match inside 10 overs.

3. KKR's 105 vs RCB (IPL 2017)

The KKR team has the record for the third highest Powerplay score in IPL. An absolute batting masterclass by the KKR openers, Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Chasing a target of 159, the duo scored 105 runs in just 36 balls. Lynn smashed 50 off 19 balls, while Narine reached his half-century in a record-breaking 15 balls. 4. CSK’s 100/2 vs Punjab Kings (IPL 2014) 

Chennai holds the record for the fourth-highest team total in IPL powerplay. Chasing a big target of 228 runs against Punjab at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the Qualifier 2 of the 2014 season, Suresh Raina scored 87 runs off just 25 balls including 12 fours and 6 sixes. He single-handedly powered CSK to 100 runs inside the powerplay. Chennai eventually fell short of the target by 24 runs.

5. PBKS 93/1 vs KKR (IPL 2024) 

Punjab Kings recorded for the fifth-highest powerplay score in the IPL. In the group game against KKR, PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh scored a 1-ball fifty and took the team to 93 runs in just 6 overs. Prabhsimran hit 4 fours and 5 sixes in his knock in the powerplay overs. Punjab's previous highest total in powerplay was 86/1 against SRH in 2014.
