India T20 Squad for Australia Series 2023

20 November 2023 BCCI announced the India cricket team squad for the five T20Is against Australia. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side for the first time, with Ruturaj Gaikwad as the vice-captain for the first three games. Deepak Chahar and Shreyas Iyer will join the squad for the last two matches.

 

All the players of the ODI World Cup squad are rested, except Suryakumar, Ishan Kishan and Prasidh Krishna. Axar Patel, who was ruled out of the World Cup with injury, is back alongside Washington Sundar. Hardik Pandya has not recovered from the injury during the World Cup match against Bangladesh.

28 October 2023 Cricket Australia announced the 15-man squad for the 5-match T20I series against India. Matthew Wade will captain Australia, with the pace trio of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood, all-rounders Mitchell Marsh, Cameron Green, and opener David Warner are rested for the series.

From the World Cup winning squad, Travis Head, Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis and Adam Zampa are part of this series.
