Batting first in a must win game of the 2024 T20 World Cup Super 8 match, Afghanistan struggled to 115 runs in 20 overs. Gurbaz was the top-scorer with 43 runs. The 2009 T20 World Cup saw a low-scoring thriller between South Africa and New Zealand. After being put into bat, South Africa could only score 128 runs. However, their bowling attack, led by Dale Steyn and Jacques Kallis, kept the New Zealand batters in check throughout the run chase.
