
28 Aug 2023 Oval beat Manchester by 7 wickets in the Final of the Hundred 2023. Tom Curran (OVL) was the Player of the Match for his 67 runs & 1 wicket. This is Oval's 1st Hundred title. Earlier in the day, Southern beat Northern by 34 runs in the Final of the Women's Hundred 2023. Like Oval, this is Southern's 1st Women's Hundred title.
The third season of THE HUNDRED will be played from 1 Aug to 27 Aug 2023 in England and Wales. It is a unique 100-ball cricket tournament organized by ECB and the first season was played in 2021. The first match of the 2023 season is between 2 previous winners Trent and Southern on 1st August 2023 at 11 PM IST at the Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
Similar to the previous 2 seasons, eight men's and women's professional teams based out of major England and Wales cities - Manchester, London, Birmingham, Northern, Trent, Welsh, Oval and Southern will take part in the third season. All the men’s matches will take place as double-headers (with women’s matches) at the same venue on the same day.

The Hundred 2023 Format
In total, there will be 64 matches (32 men's and 32 women's) in the group stage of the tournament. Each team will play four matches at home and four matches away. It will include one match against every other team and a second match against the nearest regional rivals.
After the league phase, the top three teams will qualify for the knockout stages. The 2nd-placed and 3rd-placed teams will meet in the Eliminator at the Oval. The winner of the Eliminator will then meet the 1st-placed team in the final at Lord's.

The Hundred 2023 Schedule
The Hundred Rules
- Each team will play only 100 balls and the team that scores the most runs, wins.
- A bowler can bowl a minimum of 5 or a maximum of 10 consecutive balls.
- Each bowler can deliver a maximum of 20 balls per game.
- There will be a change of ends every 10 balls.
- A powerplay of 25 balls where only two fielders are allowed outside of the 30-yard circle.
- The bowling side can take a strategic timeout of up to two and a half minutes.
- No-balls are worth two runs and a free hit.
- Slow over-rates are penalized by one less fielder allowed outside the ring.
- If a match ends in a tie, both teams will be rewarded one point each.
- If the game ends in a tie during the play-off matches, both teams will play a Super Five, similar to a Super Over in T20 cricket.
The Hundred 2023 Full Team Squads
Each team will have a maximum of 15 players, out of whom a maximum of 3 can be overseas players. At least one centrally contracted England player must be in the team. Teams were allowed to retain up to ten of the previous season's players.
A players’ draft took place to fill the remaining squad players, with teams taking turns to sign the available players. Teams had two wildcard picks from the domestic T20 competition, i.e., T20 Blast.
