Women’s T20 World Cup 2024

21 October 2024 New Zealand beat South Africa by 32 runs in Final of the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup. New Zealand's Amelia Kerr was the Player of the Match for her 43 runs & 3 wickets. She was also the Player of the Series for her 135 runs & 15 wickets. New Zealand won the Women's T20 World Cup for the first time. They lost the previous two - to England in 2009 and to Australia in 2010.

 

Bangladesh and Scotland played the tournament's first match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on October 4, 2024, at 3:30 PM IST. Team India's first match was against New Zealand on October 4 in Dubai. The final South Africa vs New Zealand was on October 20, 2024, at the Dubai International Stadium at 7:30 PM IST. 

 

The Women's T20 World Cup 2024 was the 9th edition of the women's T20I cricket international championship. The tournament was played in the UAE (for the first time) from October 3 to 20, 2024. Australia, six-time winners, were the defending champions, beating South Africa in the 2023 Final by 19 runs. 

 

The ten teams participating in the tournament were Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Scotland, and West Indies. 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup Match Schedule

The tournament began on October 3, 2024, and finished on October 20, 2024. It consisted of 23 matches (20 group matches and three knockout matches). The semi-finals were on 17 and 18 October, and the final in Dubai on October 20. All three games have a reserve day.
