23 Dec. 2022. Jaffna beat Colombo by 2 wickets in the Final of the 2022 Lanka Premier League. Jaffna's Avishka Fernando finished as the top run getter, with 339 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 124.63. Kandy's Carlos Brathwaite is the top wicket taker, with 18 wickets in 8 matches at an economy rate of 6.84.
This was Jaffna's 3rd Lanka T20 Legue title win in a row after wins in 2020 and 2021.
The third edition of the Lanka T20 Premier League as played from 6th to 23rd December in Sri Lanka. The league was officially founded in 2018 by Sri Lanka Cricket and the first season was played in the year 2020. The first match took place between Jaffna and Galle on 6th Dec. 2022 at 3 PM IST in Hambantota.
Jaffna are the 2-time defending champions. Galle finished runner-up in both seasons. Dambulla Giants and Kandy Warriors changed their names to Dambulla Aura and Kandy Falcons respectively for the Sri Lanka T20 League 2022.

Sri Lanka T20 League 2022 Schedule
