Indian Kabaddi League Winners List from 2014 to 2023
17 Dec 2022 Jaipur became 2-time champions, winning by 33-29 over Puneri in the Kabaddi League Final 2022. This is their 2nd title after the win in the very first season.
Organizers of the Indian Kabaddi League have announced the dates for the new season of the league. Season 9 of the Kabaddi League started on 7th October 2022 and ended on 17th December 2022. The group stage matches will be played in the cities of Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad.
The inaugural Kabaddi League season was played in 2014, which saw eight teams participating. From Season 5 onward, the number of teams has increased to 12. In the nine seasons so far, there have been six different winners of the Kabaddi League.

Last season in 2022, Jaipur added their name to the Kabaddi League winners list for the second time. Mumba, Patna, Bengaluru, Delhi and Bengal are the other winners.

2022 Season 9 winner: Jaipur (2nd Title)
Team Jaipur won the 9th season of the Pro Kabaddi League and become the second mutiple winner after Patna. They beat Puneri by a score of 33-29 in the season’s final match. The team won 15 and lost just 6 of their 22 games to finish as the top side after the group stages. Their lead raider, Arjun Deshwal, scored 1296 points.
2021/22 Season 8 winner: Delhi (1st Title)
Delhi won their maiden Kabaddi League trophy in Season 8, beating the 3-time champions Patna by 37-36. A win by just 1 point was the closest margin of title win in the history of the Indian Kabaddi League. Pawan Sehrawat of Bengaluru scored 304 raid points in 24 matches to become the top scorer in the league for a third consecutive season.

2019 Season 7 winner: Bengal (1st Title)
Team Bengal became the Indian Kabaddi League champions for the first time in Season 7. The final was played between two 1st-time finalists, Delhi and Bengal. Facing Naveen Kumar, MVP of the previous season, the Bengal team’s effort led them to a 39-34 win in the final.
2018 Season 6 winner: Bengaluru (1st Title)
Led by captain Rohit Kumar, Bengaluru won the Indian Kabaddi League title in Season 6, defeating Gujarat by a margin of 38-33 in the final. Pawan Sehrawat emerged as the MVP of the tournament with 282 points, out of which 22 points came in the final.
2017 Season 5 winner: Patna (3rd Title)
Despite four new teams being added to the Indian Kabaddi League in Season 5, Patna completed a hat-trick of titles. They beat Gujarat in a one-sided affair in the final by a score of 55-38. Patna captain Pardeep Narwal won the MVP of Season 5.
2016 Season 4 winner: Patna (2nd Title)
In 2016, Patna won their second Kabaddi League championship, beating Jaipur by a 37-29 scoreline. Despite the departure of Rohit Kumar to Bengaluru, Patna finished at the top of the league table with 10 wins in 14 matches.
2016 Season 3 winner: Patna (1st Title)
Patna won their first Kabaddi title in Season 3 of the league. They defeated the defending champions Mumba by 31-28 to win their maiden title. Pardeep Narwal scored the most raid points (116) in the season.

2015 Season 2 winner: Mumba (1st Title)
Mumba, runner-up of the inaugural season, dominated the second season of the league. The team emerged victorious in 12 of their 14 league matches. They beat the Bengaluru team by a margin of 36-30 in the finale.
2014 Season 1 winner: Jaipur (1st Title)
The very first Indian Kabaddi League was won by Team Jaipur in 2014. They beat Mumba by a score of 35-24 in the season’s final match. The team also won 10 of their 14 games to finish as the top side after the group stages. Their lead raider, Maninder Singh, scored 137 points.
