Ishan, who moved from Bihar to Jharkhand to further his cricket career in his teens, led India to the Under-19 World Cup final in 2016, captaining the likes of R. Pant, and has been part of 2 Indian T20 League victories with Mumbai Team (2019 and 2020).

At his best, Ishan is a combination of the two wicketkeepers he grew up idolizing: MS Dhoni and Australiaâ€™s Adam Gilchrist. Gilchrist set the standard for wicketkeepers who batted left-handed at the top of the order.
