ODI World Cup 2023
The ODI Cricket World Cup is the international championship of ODI cricket. The 2023 tournament consists of 10 teams - hosts, the top 7 teams of the ODI Super League 2020-23, and the top 2 teams from the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier.
The 50-over World Cup generally takes place every four years. The last edition of the World Cup was played in 2019 in England, where England won their first title. The 2023 Cricket World Cup will be hosted by India. Twelve ODI World Cups have been played so far, and Australia are the record 5-time winners.

Cricket World Cup 2023 Format
Similar to the 2019 Cricket World Cup, all the 10 teams are in a single group and will play against each other once during the league stage. There will be a total of 45 group matches. At the end of the group stage, the top 4 teams will qualify for the semifinals.

2023 ODI World Cup Match Schedule
The tournament is scheduled to begin on 5th October 2023, with the England vs. New Zealand opening match in Ahmedabad, while Team India will play their first match against Australia in Chennai on 8 October. The mega India vs. Pakistan match will be played on 14 October at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Some other key matches are Australia vs. New Zealand at Dharamsala on 29 October, Australia vs. England at Ahmedabad on 4 November, and New Zealand vs. South Africa at Pune on 1 November. India vs Netherlands will be the final league match, which will be played at Bengaluru on 12 November.
The first semi-final will be held in Mumbai on 15th November, while the second semi-final will be hosted by Kolakta on 16th November. The final of the tournament will take place in Ahmedabad on 19th November 2023. All knockout games have a reserve day.
