Pakistan T20 League 2022

The Pakistan T20 League is the professional T20 cricket league of Pakistan contested by six teams representing six cities of Pakistan. The league was founded on 9 September 2015 with five teams by the Pakistan Cricket Board. The teams are - Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Quetta, Islamabad and Peshawar.

The 2022 edition of the Pakistan T20 League is set to get underway from 27th January. The past six editions of this tournament have witnessed some exciting battles and nothing less must be expected from the upcoming edition.

All the franchises finalized their squads in the playersâ€™ draft, which took place in December 2021. Islamabad is the most successful team with two titles. All other teams except Lahore, have won the trophy once. The current champions are Multan, who defeated Peshawar in Season 6.

Pakistan League Cricket 2022 Standing Rules

Here are the details about the matches and tournament changes of the rules for season 2022

Teams could retain a maximum of eight players from their squads.
A team had to choose min 3 overseas players in their first nine picks
The 16-man squad must include 5 overseas and 11 local players, while the 18-player group could be a combination of either 6 overseas and 12 locals or 5 overseas and 13 locals.
An emerging player should either be Uâ€23 as of January 1, 2022, or someone who has played an aggregate of ten or more games over two seasons, and is not eligible to be in the emerging category as per age.
Each side must field a minimum of three and a maximum of four overseas players in their playing XI

Pakistan T20 League 2022 Playoffs Format

Each team plays against the other twice in a home-and-away format in the group stage. The top four teams in the points table qualify for play-offs. The format for play-offs is different from the direct knockout format.

Pakistan League 2022 Schedule

The tournament will witness 34 matches taking place across two venues - Karachi and Lahore. The final of Pakistan League 2022 will take place on February 27. The day matches have a start time of 2.30 PM and the night matches have a start time of 7.30 PM.

Harry Brook (England - Batter)

Pakistan Fantasy League Cricket Points System

Getting the hang of the scoring system is crucial, and it helps you select the right players in your team. Once you understand the scoring system, half the battle is won!

Batter score points on every run scored, and on hitting a boundary/six. There are additional points for high strike rates/reaching 50 or 100 and few others.
Bowlers get points on every wicket taken. There are additional points for bowled/lbw dismissals/maiden overs and few others.
