Women’s T20 World Cup 2024

The Women T20 World Cup is the international championship of women T20I cricket tournament. The ninth edition of the Women's T20 World Cup tournament is scheduled to take place in the UAE from 3rd to 20th October 2024.

The 2024 tournament consists of 10 teams, comprising the hosts, top 6 teams in the 2023 Women's T20 World Cup, the next highest-ranked team in the T20I rankings and 2 teams selected through the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier. Australia, 6-time winners, are the defending champions.

The Women's T20 World Cup was originally scheduled to be held in Bangladesh, but was moved to the UAE due to the political unrest in the country. Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will clash on 6th October 2024 at 3:30 PM IST in Dubai.

Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Groups

Hosts Bangladesh were joined by the top 6 teams of the 2023 T20 World Cup and the next highest-ranked teams in the Women's T20I Team Rankings, as of 27th February 2023. Sri Lanka and Scotland, finalists of the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier, were the last two teams to qualify from the tournament.

The tournament is scheduled to begin on 3rd October 2024, with the tournament's final on 20th October 2024. 10 teams are divided into two groups of 5 teams each. A total of 23 matches (20 group matches and 3 knockout matches) will be played during the tournament.

The first semi-final will be held on 17th October, while the second semi-final will be on 18th October The final of the tournament will take place on 20th October 2024. Both semi-finals and the final have a reserve day.
