The second leg of the Indian T20 League 2021 resumed on 19th September and so did the Indian Fantasy league on Howzat. The first match was played between defending champions Mumbai and Team Chennai in Dubai, which Chennai won.

Earlier, the league had to be suspended midway in early May due to the second wave of the pandemic. With 29 matches completed in the first leg, the league is back. There are eight teams playing the current edition of the Indian T20 League — Team Chennai, Team Delhi, Team Kolkata, Team Punjab, Team Mumbai, Team Bangalore, Team Rajasthan, and Team Hyderabad.

What is the format of the Indian T20 League 2021?

All the teams play each other twice in the league stage but with a slight change, i.e, due to the Covid-19 outbreak, there won’t be any games played on a home and away basis. Continuing further, by the end of the league, the top four teams in the points table will qualify for the play-offs.

When and where is the second leg of the Indian T20 League 2021 taking place?

The second leg of the Indian T20 League is being played in the UAE. Just like last year, all teams have been put into strict bio-bubbles and are only allowed to move to the stadium for practice purposes or for the actual game. Matches will be held at three venues across the UAE – Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and the final will be played at Dubai.
